kcICON Project is Roads & Bridges Magazine's #1 2010 Road Project Award Winner

Road Project Roads and Bridges Magazine announced August 4, 2010 that the kcICON Project has been selected as its top road pick for 2010. The project will be featured on the cover of the magazine's October issue and featured in the magazine with nine other projects that made the publication's annual list of Top 10 Roads. kcICON Project Team Member Receives 2010 Rosa Parks Award

kcICON Project team member Jontell Jones was bestowed the 2010 Rosa Parks Award at the Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equity’s (MORE2) fifth annual Imagine Banquet. The event was held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center.

The ASLA bestows design unbuilt award on kcICON Project

The kcICON Project has received an American Society of Landscape Architecture-Central States Design Merit Award. The design (un-built) award recognizes the team for its aesthetic enhancement and context sensitive design solutions; integration of the architectural identity of the new signature Christopher S. Bond Bridge into the overall aesthetic character of related corridor improvements, and engagement of key stakeholders and communities in a collaborate design and review process. The award was presented April 23, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK.
